Gian-Franco Melendez is a proud Tampa Bay native with a deep-rooted passion for serving his community. Admitted to practice law in Florida, he has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families navigate the legal landscape, particularly those who call Tampa Bay home.

A graduate of Tampa Jesuit High School, Gian-Franco went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Driven by a strong desire to make a difference locally, he pursued his law degree at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. During his time at Stetson, Gian-Franco wore many hats, serving as Vice-President of the Stetson Hispanic Bar Association and gaining hands-on experience as a legal intern in the immigration unit at Gulfcoast Legal Services. He also worked as a law clerk at Ron R. Wolfe and Associates, assisting with foreclosure and bankruptcy cases, and supported military veterans in securing disability benefits through Stetson’s Veterans’ Advocacy Clinic. Additionally, he had the honor of interning for the Honorable Virginia Hernandez Covington, a respected United States federal judge.

After law school, Gian-Franco began his career in workers’ compensation and employment defense. However, his passion for advocacy and community service led him to focus on helping those who need it most—especially the immigrant community. Gian-Franco draws on his diverse experience to achieve successful outcomes for his clients.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Gian-Franco is deeply committed to making legal services accessible. He has held leadership roles, including Co-Chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Solo Practitioner & Small Firm Section and Treasurer of the Pinellas Latin Bar Association. He is an active member of the Tampa Hispanic Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and several local bar associations.
